ABOUT

Elena Camp (she/her) is an actor, singer, dancer, musician, and pigeon enthusiast born in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She grew up singing, dancing, and carrying her larger-than-she-was cello on her back.
She was most recently seen as Mark's mother and Alexi Darling in RENT at the Arden Theatre Company in Philadelphia - the highest grossing and most well attended show in its 40 year history! Before RENT, she sold out another Jonathan Larson original, playing Susan in Theatre Horizon’s production of tick, tick…BOOM! which they remounted in the same year because of its initial success. Before tick, tick...BOOM!, she was traveling the country as the Queen of Transylvania and Eliza Doolittle understudy with the First National Tour of Bartlett Sher's My Fair Lady.
Elena has worked on many New York musical workshops including, most recently, Other World, written by Jeff Bowen, Hunter Bell, and Ann McNamee, and Picnic at Hanging Rock, written by Greta Gertler Gold and Hilary Bell. She recently performed at the Lincoln Center Atrium in a concert showcasing the work of Gold.
She was nominated for Best Actress at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival for her work on Dead Giveaway in 2017 (the film won for Best Comedy), and in 2014, she was a finalist in the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition, judged by Kate Baldwin, Andrew Lippa, and Sheri Sanders.
